  IUI or Intrauterine Insemination is a form of fertility treatment where the male partner’s semen sample is “washed”, concentrated and then placed directly into the uterus. This puts the sperms in the semen sample closer to the egg, which would have reached the fallopian tube, thereby facilitating fertilization. Ovulation Disorders and infertility Ovulatory disorder is one of the leading causes of   infertility   in women and can occur when ovulation is disrupted or absent. Such women experience irregular or absent periods. The foremost common causes of ovulatory problems is related to hormone imbalance within the body. There are several causes of ovulation disorders. Some are caused by  hormonal  problems when the pituitary gland in the brain doesn’t release the proper hormones. Premature Ovarian Failure or Primary Ovarian Insufficiency (POF OR POI) is early menopause or premature ovarian insufficiency. The period between puberty and menopause is the reproductive period in a woman. In a woman, if the ovaries stop producing eggs early before the age 40 and there are subsequently no periods, this is called premature ovarian failure or primary ovarian insufficiency. Symptoms of POF or POI: Women who have POF may experience some symptom on the brink of that of menopause like Hot flashes Irregular or no periods (which might be present for years or develop after a pregnancy or after stopping birth control pills) Vaginal dryness Dry eyes Night sweats Irritability or difficulty in concentrating Difficulty in getting pregnant Decreased sexual desire.
